Photo Ceramic Plaque

A photo ceramic portrait uses a standard-sized ceramic blank as its base material. A photograph is scanned at high resolution and a digital transfer is produced and applied to the ceramic. A clear glaze is applied over this transfer, and the ceramic piece is cured in a kiln. The resulting product is an exact colour (or black & white) permanent reproduction on a ceramic base.

Refurbishments

The Clear finish on a bronze plaque over time will fade from exposure to the sun’s ultra violet light. Metal & oxidation occurs.
Bronze plaques form a protective oxidation called patina.

Although the finishes on a bronze plaque will naturally patina over time the material itself will not deteriorate, making the restoration process easy.

• The plaques finish, paint & patina are removed

• Inscriptions emblems and boarders are repaired.

• The plaque is repainted then inscriptions, emblems and letters are highlighted to bring out the shine of the Bronze. Each plaque is finished with a clear coat finish to protect the plaque.
